Here's how to create a sun-kissed makeup look with bronzer
Share
In Belgium, the sun is often hidden behind gray clouds. So it's hard to enjoy a beautiful summer tan all year round, thanks solely to the sun. Bronzer to the rescue, because this product perfectly recreates that natural, sun-kissed look. Use it in the summer too to beautifully emphasize those summery-toned areas of your face.

Why do you use bronzer?
A common misconception is that foundation is meant to make your face look tanner. That's a definite no-no. Foundation is meant to even out the color and texture of your face, not to make it look tanner. For a beautiful, sun-kissed makeup look, use bronzer. Mineral bronzer is the perfect solution for creating a natural, warm glow without looking unnatural.
So first make sure you have found the right foundation.
Choose the right bronzer
Mineral bronzer is available in powder form in warm or ashy brown shades. Do you have a neutral or cool undertone? Then choose an ash brown color. Do you have a warmer undertone? Then a warm brown shade will suit you better. There are also matte and shimmery bronzers. We recommend choosing a matte bronzer and, if desired, adding a glowy touch with a separate highlighter. This gives you more control over where you highlight. For a sun-kissed effect, choose a bronzer that's darker than your foundation. Don't choose a shade that's too dark, because if the contrast with your foundation or skin tone is too strong, you'll create an unnatural makeup look.

Applying mineral bronzer
To create a sun-kissed effect, apply bronzer to the areas of your face that naturally catch the sun: along your forehead hairline, the bridge of your nose, from your temples to under your cheekbones, and a small amount on your chin. Mineral bronzer comes in powder form, so it's best to apply it with a large powder brush to evenly distribute the product. Applying the mineral bronzer in circular motions blends it beautifully with your mineral foundation.
The advantage of powder on powder
Mineral makeup comes in powder form. The big advantage of applying mineral powder bronzer over mineral powder foundation is that they blend easily and smoothly. This creates an extra natural, sun-kissed look. If you use a liquid foundation, applying bronzer over it is more likely to leave your skin feeling sticky and create blemishes. Powder on powder also feels wonderfully light, allowing your skin to breathe—wonderful!
Regardless of the season, you can always conjure up that summer glow.
