How do you use mineral highlighter?

Mineral highlighter brings light and freshness to your makeup routine. In this gentle ritual, you'll discover how to use lightweight, breathable minerals to add subtle accents that make your skin glow naturally.

In this video I show you step by step how to apply mineral highlighter naturally.

What does mineral highlighter do?

Mineral highlighter adds light and freshness without being shiny or overpowering. It melts into the skin, subtly illuminating your natural radiance.

Step by step

    1. 1. Start with an even base
First, apply your foundation and any bronzer or blush. Highlighter is the finishing touch and works best on calm, even skin.

      2. Take a small amount of product
Apply a small amount of mineral highlighter to the lid and pick it up with a soft, fluffy brush. Less is more.

      3. Apply to the points that catch the light
Apply highlighter subtly to the tops of your cheekbones, cupid's bow, and possibly the center of your nose. These are the areas where light naturally falls.

      4. Work with light movements
Use gentle, sweeping, or tapping motions to blend the product into your skin. This way, the effect remains natural and refined.

      5. Build up slowly
Want a little more glow? Gently go over the same areas again. By working layer by layer, you maintain control and softness.

Additional advice

  • Why this works

Mineral highlighter melts into the skin when gently blended. It subtly captures the light, creating a natural glow without harsh accents.

  • Common mistakes

    • Using too much product, which makes the glow too noticeable.
    • Apply highlighter to areas of the skin with texture or irregularities.
    • Choosing a shade that is too light or too dark for your skin.
    • Combining highlighter with too many other shiny products.

  • Extra tips

    • Less is more: highlighter works best when applied subtly
    • Combine with a matte bronzer or blush for balance.
    • Apply only where you want to catch light, not all over your face.
